Natanya Rubin-Bice, Project Director

Project Director Natanya Rubin-Bice comes to Doyle Research from the world of theater. A veteran of the Chicago stage with a BFA in Acting from Ohio University, Natanya has filled roles as both a producer and performer, developing skills in bringing substantial, multifaceted projects to fruition.

A member of the DRA team since 2008, Natanya has provided top to bottom support for hundreds of projects, and is adept at all aspects of field management. Whether crafting screeners, overseeing recruits, or supervising the technology needs of a piece of research, Natanya is ready to use her expertise to put your project in the spotlight!

1. How long have you been doing qualitative market research?

I have been working in qualitative research for 6 years, and have loved every minute of it!

2. How did you get started in the industry?

Doyle was my introduction to QMR, back in March of 2008. Before that, I spent 8 years in the Chicago theatre scene, working as an actress and producer.

3. What’s an area of which you have particularly unique knowledge?

As a field manager, my specialty is details and logistics. In other words, I take project designs and make them happen!

4. What are you working on right now?

Right now I’m coordinating a project where we will interview respondents in five different states over two days via webcam. It’s a great way to get our clients engaged, without ever having to leave home.

I’m also helping to facilitate a big project where we’re shipping large appliances across the country to various markets. It’s a great example of the variety of interesting challenges each project brings; and one of the reasons I love this job!

5. What trends in the industry most excite you right now?

Online research is extremely exciting right now. I’m always interested in learning new platforms and finding ways to maximize their usefulness for our moderators and clients. I’m deeply invested in forging partnerships with vendors who provide exciting products that help us hear the voice of the consumer in new ways, and I see the Web playing an increasingly important role.

6. What’s one thing people might not know about you?

Two things, really:

My likeness has appeared on a label for New Holland Brewing’s Black Tulip Belgian Ale.

I once performed for a sold out house of over 1000 people at a concert at the Metro in Chicago. There was a technical glitch and my music didn’t work, so I improvised a dance routine to music I’d never heard before. Most terrifying moment of my life, but learning that I could roll with the punches and handle the unexpected with grace was a valuable lesson.

The best part of working at Doyle Research is collaborating with a group of colleagues who are so committed to finding the best of both the present and future of market research. We’re always exploring new ways to deliver insights to our clients. It’s exciting to work in such a forward thinking environment!
